SYNOPSIS
When smalltime online scammer Soufian finds himself deep in debt after a failed hussle, he’s forced to take a job at the only place that will still hire him: Super XL. During his chaotic onboarding period, he discovers the supermarket is switching to AI-fueled self-scanning checkouts, making staff obsolete. Soufian spots an opportunity to get rich quick by sabotaging the system, but his plan soon attracts the attention of the shelf stackers, who refuse to become unemployed. What begins as a heist quickly escalates into an unexpected workers’ uprising against automation.
Based on the popular series, Vakkenvullers XL takes the supermarket universe to an absurd new level. Darryl, Rimon, Joshua, Mr. Pizza, Gerda, and Jaylee are all along for the ride, joined by their legendary manager Ruut, in this energy-drink-fueled explosion of chaos.
